Our hearts are shattered. Yesterday was one of the worst days of our lives as we got the most horrific news that my father In law had been killed in a horrific car accident. Both him and my mother in law were on their way to come pick my children up for their regular weekend sleep over. It was supposed to be a normal Saturday. My mother in law survived with a fractured sternum but is suffering from the greatest loss of her life. Our lives will never be the same.

Pop you were such an amazing man. You’ve always been a hero in our eyes but knowing you selflessly sacrificed your life for Mom to keep hers just proves what an incredible person you were. You were the best father in law in the world and the most amazing grandfather. The love and bond you shared with my children will forever be carried in their hearts.

I can’t fathom Liliana not hearing you call her your little princess anymore and Antonio’s heart will be shattered forever. You were his best friend. He’s going to miss you picking him up from school and spending all his time with you.
